Trail Map for Pocahantas Trail Run

Here is the 10k lollipop we are running.  Most people run the loop part counterclockwise.  The entrance to that loop trail is directly in front of the nature center.  There is a gate in front of that trail to keep vehicles out.  I am planning on running 10k lollipop twice.  There are bathrooms and water along the way.

F3Richmond -- Pocahantas Park Trail Run -- August 16, 2015

F3 Men, We will be meeting at the Newby's Bridge parking lot adjacent to Pocahantas State Park at 7 AM for our weekly trail run. That parking area is located just to the east of the marker below --

Newby's Bridge Rd is located off of Courthouse Road, just south of the intersection of 288 and Courthouse.  Heading south on Courthouse Road, turn right onto Newby's Bridge Rd by the Orange Market.  Drive about 3/4 of a mile, and you will see a Pocahantas Park gravel parking area on the left in the woods.  Park there.

If you see a sign on the left for the Dale Memorial Park and Mausoleum (or something to that effect), then you have gone too far. Turn around.

I will be driving a clown car there from the Stony Point Martins, located here --

If you want to come in my clown car, meet me in front of Martins by 6:30AM.  I will be driving a grey Honda Odyssey.  TYA and DK are riding with me.  I have room for up to 4 more.  Text or email me if you want me to reserve a spot for you.

Technically, the Pocahantas Park perimeter lots require a parking pass.  I have never seen anyone get ticketed for parking at the Newbys Bridge permeter lot, but there is some relatively minor risk that you will get a ticket if you park there without the pass.  You will not be able to purchase a pass there (or pay for parking that early in the morning).  If you are worried, ride with me or call 800-933-7275 and purchase a $40 annual pass to Pacahantas, which is well worth the cost.

A trail map will follow.
